LEGAL
Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your use of this website and your participation in Primitive Thing events. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What this website is
This site describes Primitive Thing, its evenings and its services. It is informational. Bookings and payments for evenings are handled by Luma, and their own terms apply to those transactions.
Content
The text, images, photographs, video and other material on this site belong to Primitive Thing or are used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify them without our written consent.
Accuracy
We keep the information here as accurate and current as we can, but details about events may change without notice. We do not guarantee that everything on the site is complete or up to date.
Access to events
Sending an enquiry or a booking request does not guarantee a place. We confirm attendance individually, and we may approve, decline or limit it in order to protect the balance and quality of the evening.
Conduct
Our evenings depend on how people treat each other. We may refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone whose behaviour makes the space unsafe or uncomfortable for others. No refund is due in that case.
Responsibility
You attend at your own discretion and are responsible for your own belongings and wellbeing. We are not liable for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience arising from your use of this site or your attendance, except where liability cannot be excluded under Spanish law.
Your personal data
How we handle the data you give us is set out in the Privacy Policy on this page.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Any change is published on this page and takes effect once published. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law and applicable European Union law. Any dispute is subject to the courts of Madrid, Spain.

Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.
Who is responsible
Primitive Thing is responsible for the personal data collected through this website. Our full legal and contact details are set out in the Aviso legal section above. For anything related to your data, write to primitive.thing.party.madrid@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you submit a form, we collect the details you enter: your name, your email address, and the answers you choose to give us. Nothing in the form is collected without you typing it.
We also receive limited technical data when you browse the site, such as browser type, device information, approximate location and pages visited. Analytics of this kind only run if you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your data for the following purposes, each with its legal basis under the GDPR:
Reviewing and replying to your enquiry — based on your consent, given when you submit the form.
Confirming and managing your attendance at an event — based on the performance of our agreement with you.
Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it — based on your consent to analytics cookies.
Meeting our legal and accounting obligations — based on compliance with the law.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and attendance data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. Data we are legally required to retain, such as records tied to invoicing, is kept for the period the law requires.
Who we share it with
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this site and our events: Framer for website hosting, Luma for event bookings and payments, and Google for our email. Each of them acts on our instructions and is bound to protect your data. We may also disclose data where the law obliges us to.
Data outside the European Union
Some of these providers are based outside the European Union. Where data is transferred outside the EU, the transfer relies on the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your data safe from unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. Access is limited to the people directly involved in running this website and our events.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, or send it to another provider. You can also ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it at all. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these rights, write to primitive.thing.party.madrid@gmail.com.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos) at www.aepd.es.
Links to other sites
This website links to third-party sites, including Luma. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. This page explains which ones we use and how you control them.
Nothing optional runs until you agree
When you arrive, only strictly necessary cookies are set. Analytics and any other optional cookies stay switched off until you accept them in the cookie banner. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent.
The cookies we use
Necessary — required for the site to work at all: page navigation, form submission and secure access. These cannot be switched off.
Preferences — remember basic choices such as language or display settings. Optional.
Analytics — tell us how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed. Optional.
Marketing — we do not currently use marketing cookies. If that changes, this page and the banner will be updated first.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the services we rely on, including Framer, which hosts this site, and Luma, which handles event bookings. We do not control those cookies, and we recommend reading their own cookie and privacy policies.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Open Cookie Settings, at the bottom of any page, to review your choice, switch categories on or off, or reject everything optional. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any change is published on this page and takes effect once published.
